Performance Information
Aerial Antics provides entertainment for festivals, private events, fundraisers, schools and more. As skilled artists we perform on many different aerial apparatuses and even offer champagne pouring. We perform solos and duos on aerial spiral, cube, silks, hammock, lyra, rope, trapeze, net, mobi, chains, straps....just ask!
We are open to discussing your vision and aspire to make your event a success. Our refined and inspiring performances, mix the elegance of aerial dance with the excitement of dynamic twists and falls. Our multi-talented performers love to incorporate elements of other circus and performance arts. We happily tailor performances to your needs and can get you involved in the act if desired.
Through collaboration with other circus arts collectives such as Cirquonscient, Dragon's Ire, MeloFranatic and A Beautiful Smack to the Head we offer school shows and a variety of crowd animation options including: fire dancing, acrobatics, stilt walking and, LED glowing: Butterfly Dancers, pixel whips, hula hoops, poi, devil sticks, levitation wands, and more.
Technical Details
Our technical requirements are minimum 15’ ceilings with rigging points or accessible structural beams, or the ability to set up one of our portable rigs. We have two portable rig options. For smaller spaces with low ceilings, we have a lollipop lyra which requires a 1.5 metre (5') floor space and 3 metre (10') ceiling clearance. For larger venues, our large portable rig (swing set style) sets to a maximum of 6 metres (but can be adjusted to lower settings) and has a 6m x 6m x 6m (20' x 20' x 20') footprint. See a time lapse of our large rig set up here. A site inspection will be necessary before we can confirm a performance. For convenience, we have our own certified rigger.

Vertical Theatre
Aerial Antics supports the artistic work of Cirquonscient, a collective of circus artists who create and perform original vertical theater pieces with a desire to promote awareness of contemporary cultural and social topics interpretatively through circus and other art forms both nationally and internationally.
