Shape, strength, and connection take center stage in this dynamic straps workshop.
Participants will explore figures and postures on straps, building clean lines and intentional shapes while linking them into fluid sequences.

 

🤝 Plus, dive into duo movements on straps, giving aerialists the chance to work as both base and flyer while exploring a variety of partnered figures. This workshop is all about control, communication, and creating powerful moments in the air—solo and together.

Silks & Rope Intensive with Liesl "@AerialAspiration" 

Train with Liesl “@AerialAspiration” in this powerhouse workshop series, May 9 & 10, designed to build momentum, precision, and seriously impressive skills in the air.

From unlocking the mystery of ping pongs to designing your own gasp-worthy drop sequences, these workshops are all about turning strong foundations into dynamic, performance-ready movement. Expect deep technique, creative exploration, and those “did that just happen?!” moments. Ages 11+

Instructor Bio

Liesl Klaue , known as @aerialaspiration, is a dynamic aerial artist and instructor celebrated for her powerful drops and momentum-driven style. With a particular passion for rebound-based skills—especially the elusive and crowd-favorite “ping pong”—she has developed a reputation for breaking down complex techniques into clear, achievable progressions that empower students of all levels.

Since 2019, Liesl has been teaching aerial arts across Canada and internationally, leading workshops and intensives in British Columbia, Alberta, and Mexico. Her teaching combines deep technical understanding with a focus on creativity, efficiency, and performance quality. In addition to in-person training, she has developed and published an online curriculum that has reached aerialists around the world.

Duo and Spanish Web Workshops with Eve Gordon


This June, train with internationally acclaimed circus artist Eve Gordon in a series of dynamic duo-focused workshops designed to build strength, creativity, and connection in the air. Ages 14+

 

✨ Duo Straps – Explore partner-based straps technique with a focus on weight-sharing, synchronisation, and powerful transitions.

🌀 Spanish Web – Dive into dynamic spinning and control while learning technique for both the setter and flyer on this unique apparatus.
🎭 Duo Trapeze – Generate momentum, experiment with tempos, and work toward semi and full releases with your partner.
🤝 Duo Improvisation – Develop trust, timing, and creative communication in the air through guided improvisation and structured play.

All workshops emphasize partner coordination, clean technique, and expressive aerial storytelling.

About the Coach:
Eve Gordon is an award-winning circus artist, director, and educator from Aotearoa New Zealand and a core creative with The Dust Palace - performing at the NAC in June. Known for her collaborative and story-driven approach to circus, she has taught extensively across New Zealand and internationally.

Group Worshops

Group Workshops with Aerial Antics

Book us for group workshops for fun with friends or as a team building activity.

Come learn the basics, explore a new apparatus or take your skills to the next level with like minded people. Workshops can focus on one apparatus or explore several. Minimum of 5 people required to book a workshop. Workshop content, length and timing can be tailored, contact us to book your workshop today.

Dress code: For all apparatuses we recommend a close fitting t-shirt or tank and athletic pants that cover the knees, no zippers or buttons.
